Hey friends!
First post here, started a traditional mead with a Craft-A-Brew starter kit.

I’ve read hundred of posts and watched tons of YouTube videos before even getting started, and still do almost every day. 😂

the issue I’m worried about is that my mead is no longer degassing.
Here’s some info on the brew before I go further.
Date started - 8/13/2023
3# Raw/Unfiltered honey from food lion (first batch, plan to upgrade soon)
1 Gal bottled spring water
Lavlin D47 yeast
Prepackaged nutrients with kit added days 1/3/5, not sure what kind they were.
OG - 1.085

had a small layer of sediment/lees by day 5 and activity had dwindled down to almost no bubbles in the airlock by day 5.
Waited an extra week before taking a reading, FG came out to 1.000

alch % should be about 11.5%

my concern is that the instructions say to degas/swirl it every 2-3 days. This was still producing degass bubbles, and some foam at the top when I would do it. Airlock activity from the degas (I know ferm is done by now)

my question is, on 8/27 when I took a sample to test FG, it was done. I think it actually finished in like the first 5 days.
I went to degas it today and there was no bubbles at all. Flat brew.
I stopped because I am now worried there is no Co2 being produced and I don’t want to introduce oxygen by swirling.

Checked the forum search, looked a bit online, most help/ answers skip over days like 15-bottling. Just looking for some general advice.
I know I’m probably going to get a “time heals all brews” and I’m ready for it. I just thought posting and asking would ease my mind a bit.

thank you all for the help and I appreciate everyone on this forum! I’m new here, but I’ll def be around for a good while
