i have never brewed anything before in my life, and i am getting 4 glass gallon carboys soon. I want to make mead. I have a question about pitching the yeast in an ancient organge or the small mead recipe. Should i just pitch it in dry or mix it with something before i put it in the carboy? also, are nutrients and all that needed with ancient orange or the small mead batch?

Follow the recipe exactly, don't deviate, don't cross go, don't collect two hundred dollars.

Best of luck,

For the AOM, the raisins and orange provides all the necessary nutrients.

What is the other mead recipe? There are many recipes out there.
