Well, it suffered an ignominious and early retirement during the upgrade so it will not be re-appearing.
However, the good news is that I've purchased a full blown chat room for the forums (both patrons and regular members) that can be scaled to fit our needs and should still have the "shoutbox" feature.
We're working on it as I type this, and should have it up by late next week after some testing. We're still developing policy and how to server it up to our GM community so everyone will get to chat a bit with each other.
We're thinking of having some scheduled chat sessions so people can as questions that are kind of hard to address in posts (i.e. ok but what about this, or how do I do that kind of things.) Most importantly is that we recognize that a chat function is a good thing to have, but a pain in the ass when it doesn't work right. We are going to bring this into production in a manner that will promote stability, user-friendliness and long term usefullness, so if it seems like we're taking our time, we are. We just want to make sure we have a stable feature out there for our users.
Cheers,
Oskaar
