About 8 weeks ago I posted about modifying JAO with the use of lemons as a substitute for the orange. I made a 1 gallon batch following the original JAO recipe except the substitution of 2 lemons and a pinch of ginger. Oskaar suggested I may have too much lemon. So, after 3 or 4 days of fermentation, I removed 1 of them.

Opened it this weekend. It tastes pretty good, but I don't notice the ginger at all. The lemon is a little overpowering, but quite drinkable. It finished a little drier than the orange (which is ok by me). Next batch will be with just 1 lemon or maybe (3/4). I apologize for not getting the FG. My hydrometer broke in the dish rack.

I have a batch of Blueberry which should be ready just before Christmas. I will let you know how it turns out.

I would also try adding half a lime.

IMHO, the lime/lemon is a great combination. The lime will be strong in flavour, so maybe increase the spices.
