ORANGE MEAD CAM!

i'll be monitoring my Orange mead. >:D Yes, I've been out of the loop for a while, but I'm back in it! Orange mead recipe to be posted soon. It smells WONDERFUL.

(you have to refresh manually, will only be up during the day, grainy when it gets dark)

The HTML tag works well. It may be worth noting that using the "insert image" button produces [img=http://and] and [/img] tags that don't work.

Hey Dude,

Sorry I had to moderate the mead cam url, but it was throwing the body and margins off in this thread so it had to go. We're not set up to stream video through the forums, and it would be chewing our bandwidth allotment as well. We are working on being able to do this in the near future, but for right now we're not equiped or set up to handle this.

You can always post a link to the cam, but please use the tiny URL link that Vicky posted recently to keep the URL lines from throwing off the margins and such.

Cheers,

Oskaar

I understand that the url was too long, but the bigger question is why didn't the link to a static jpeg show the image. I made sure it was 640x480.

Also, it was simply a static jpeg hosted on my server (the url ended in .jpg). Can you explain to me how that would chew up your bandwidth?

A jpg wouldn't chew bandwidth. I saw meadcam and took it to mean that you wanted to stream through the site. I did see the jpg extension, but again, since I thought it was a streaming cam a jpg file wouldn't be doing any streaming.

You can try to link it up again, and I'll take a look.

Use the following code and format to link a photo:

"< img src="http://yadda.yadda.yadda/yadd.jpg" >"

Just remove the spaces between the pointy braces on either end of the command.
