Well this sucks.. I signed up full enthusiasm for a 25week beekeeping course and just got a message they canceled all courses because they dont have enough hives anymore to give to the students.
It seems the widespread mysterious death of bees is preventing new blood beekeepers from learning the job :(
The prices for hives have increased from 70 to +300

we have ordered 3 nucs and they cost is 75 dollars each

the beginners classes in Northern Virginia started last week.

Dont know the rules across the pond but one of the 2 books we use in the course
i posted online

it might help u ... if you can find bees

The book you posted indeed gave me a bit of a first impression.

Lucky man!

I just learned that while beekeeping in Minneapolis is banned, it is just fine 1/2 mile across the Mississippi River in St. Paul. I think I'm going to invest in a course this summer myself.
