I'm so glad I found this thread! The first batch (show) went so well and smelled so good that I started two mels right away (with fruit in primary). They're all now in secondaries and all under a month. I tested and tasted everything yesterday. While they all looked amazing, they all tasted exactly the same! At this point, it's kind of likeREALLY cheap vodka with food coloring in it. :angry3: I know it will mellow, but will the other fruit flavors resurface later on or should I put the mead fruit a second time?
