Can Brix be measured with an appropriately calibrated hydrometer or is it only with a refractometer ?

If it can be done with a hydrometer, where'd I get one from as the only ones I've seen are callibrated in gravity ?

regards

Many hydrometers have both the SG and Brix/Balling/Plato scales on them. You can get Brix from SG (approximately) by dividing by 4. That is, (1.00)4 SG is 1 Brix.
