Today's Birthday List ~ I can only imagine that all these people are Korean, and were born in 1921, as from what I understand Koreans are considered a year old at birth and turn a year older on the first of the new year.

I recall being told Koreans date from the time of conception and simply add one year to a "western" age for convenience. If they change it with the new year, wouldn't it be the Korean New Year, Seollal (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Korean_New_Year)? ;D

Maybe they're Korean-American and have adopted our calendar. I lived in Korea for two years (Seoul) and my post is how it was explained to me by my dads Korean secretary... who lived with us.

Odd, I don't feel 89. More like...22. Maybe I'll feel 23 on, say, January 17th. But not 89. Oh well, Happy Birthday all you other 89-year-olds.

You obviously aren't drinking enough mead yet. When you drink enough mead, the next morning you feel 89. ;)

Those of you that got bogus Happy Birthday emails and notices, the system had set a default birthday for all those when we migrated. I just went and cleared the bogus data, so any who log in who has a now blank birthday will be asked to input it when you next log in. Get it right, the system locks it after you enter it, and then I have to change it, and I really don't want to have to fix birthdays for nearly 2000 people....
