Hello,

This is my first post so if this topic has been posted else where I am sorry.
My mead has been sitting since August. I am ready to bottle I bought a package of K Sorbate from the local brew store. I was looking for instructions on the internet of when to add it when I saw I need to add a sulfate solution or campden tabelets? Is this true? What do I do?

Thanks,
VA.

Welcome to Got Mead?

See my post here and read the entire thread. This should get you started.

It's ok to ask questions so don't feel bad. But, take some time and learn to use the forum search tool conveniently located at the top of the forums in the menu bar. Use this first when you have a question and read the threads that come up. You'll get better at using keywords after you've practiced at it, I know I did.

Bottom line is if you do a search and don't find anything ask questions and we'll answer. If you just keep asking questions without using the search tool we'll know because certain questions have been asked and answered many times. You're less likely to get a lot of responses to your posts if it's obvious you haven't searched the subject.

Cheers, Oskaar
