View Full Version : A friend told me about a honey cachaša

This guy is about to become a father (a C-section is scheduled for Friday). He invited me to his house for the party.

His wife is Brasilian, which is where the cachaša comes in (It's the national liquor of Brasil. It's made from sugar cane juice (unlike rum, which is made from molasses) ).

Anyway, the cachaša is made in two basic types. The big mass produced kind and the "artisanal" which is the small batch kind that is of superior quality.

Well, this guy says that his father in law came up from Brasil and brought some very special artisanal cachaša that is apparently made from honey. He said that this is a very rare style that they never export, and he wants me to try it, since he knows about my mead making.

I was just thinking about whether such existed earlier today and if so, how it tasted. I look forward to hearing your review!
