Happy Easter to you all!

We're doing the usual BBQ here in So Cal with lots of dead animal (lamb, beef, pork, chicken and wabbit . . . . huhuhuhuhu) on the grill, to be accompanied by various over the top sides like octopus salad, grilled squid, dove (from our last hunting trip) sauerkraut, and lots of hippocras, Zinfandel and beer.

Best of all to you and yours!

Oskaar

I'm on my way. :)

Ditto on the Easter wishes to everyone--it's slow here this year as everyone is spread out across the globe, but I do have a ham to put into the oven. It'll last me for weeks! :)

I've got a pork shoulder out on the smoker today, I also started a 5 gallon derivative of yo's strawberry, and I'm working on a 5gallon honey blond ale and a 1 gallon cyser today.

Now all I can picture is Pete as Elmer Fudd. Kill the Wabbit!!

We are visiting winter for Spring Break, lol. Snowing in Tahoe and we're going to hazard a snowshoeing trip today and skiing on Tuesday. Snow is cold!

It's a beautiful day here -- warm enough that the windows are wide open which isn't usually the case in early April. The lamb is in the oven and I'm just about to decant a cranberry mead that should pair well with the meal. Happy Easter!

Without pictures, there is no pork shoulder in Tallahassee today.

I'll give you a few photos of the ol' Capital City action today:

1) Bottled my wedding mead: http://i487.photobucket.com/albums/rr234/jdw03n/MEad/MeadDay007.jpg

2) My Yo's Strawberry derivative: http://i487.photobucket.com/albums/rr234/jdw03n/MEad/MeadDay006.jpg (only about 1/2 inch of headspace, gonna cover this one with cheesecloth rather than airlocking)

3) The cyser, pitched and chilling: http://i487.photobucket.com/albums/rr234/jdw03n/MEad/MeadDay005.jpg

4) The shoulder: its a crummy picture, my iPhone sucks: http://i487.photobucket.com/albums/rr234/jdw03n/MEad/MeadDay008.jpg

There's no such thing as a shitty I-phone.
