Hello, quick question. Will the Alcohol in extracts like pure vanilla...KILL my yeast friends?! I was wondering because it says ABV 35% but it's only like 2 ounces.

That depends on what you do with it. If you put the yeast straight into the vanilla, yes, it will kill them. If you put a tablespoon of vanilla into a 5 gallon batch of mead, the yeast won't even notice.

I put 7 grams of yeast, into a 1 gallon batch with 2 1/2 pounds of honey and a tbsp of almond extract (that has no alchohol content) and half a tbsp of vanilla. And shook it all up.

I doubt it will be any issue!

1 gallon is 256 tablespoons. Therefore, the vanilla you put in there is about 2 tenths of a percent of the total volume, bringing your total alcohol to around 7 tenths of a percent. So AToE is right, this isn't going to hurt anything.

Almond and vanilla eh? Sounds pretty tasty.
