quick question - how big a bag for [x] lbs of fruit?
i was thinking of doing at least a couple pounds of strawberries for each gallon (5 gallons of water) in my 8 gallon primary bucket ... how big a bag (dimensions in inches) would i want for 10 - 15 pounds of fruit? thx!
I bought a paint straining bag, that fits a 5 gallon bucket. Strained 20 lbs of blueberries + everything else I threw in there. Still had lots of room for more.
15 pounds of fruit will take up about 1.5 gallons of space, and will leave you with about 1 gallon of liquid. If you add it to a 5-gallon batch, you'll end up with a 6-gallon batch (more or less).
