Geez I wish it wasn't on the other side of the continent!

Pah, other side of one of the skinnier parts of the continent! Up here when we say that we mean a good 9000 kilometres!

And, when I was a kid, I had to walk to school, uphill - both ways, in the snow, which was 5 feet deep! :p

And this was before nutrients, when you just had to HOPE your yeast reached full attenuation!

What an awesome event! Great value for the price of admission ($50). The biggest disappointment was no mead tasting, something to do with shipping issues from the meadery. The food and beer/wine were great, though, and the speakers were just a fountain of information.

EDIT: Forgot to mention that I picked up four 5-gallon carboys for $50 on the way home. Saw the ad on Craigslist, someone from Travis AFB was getting deployed (again) and had to clear up storage space. What a sweet day!
