View Full Version : Waxy Flavor and aroma

Well it has been a long time since I have been to this forum again. It has also been a long time since I made mead. But I have dove back into it again.

So one of the first meads I have made since my new found interest in it again has a waxy flavor and aroma in the finish.

Oddly enough I can not detect this in the honey I used it has only come out after fermentation. This is a Traditional mead made from wild flower honey.

So far I have added vanilla bean to the gallon I have left to hide this.

Any other suggestions about what else to do or how to treat the remaing honey I have to use.
