Well, i followed the instructions to the letter, but my JOA finished pretty dry as i bottle it. 1.000 finishing SG with a 1.105 or 1.115 started Sg, cant fully remember, anyone else ever had the happen?

I did a JAO years back, I don't think I even had a hydrometer at that point so I can't give you numbers but it was BONE dry, and took quite a bit of aging for it to be drinkable. However, after I tucked a bottle away and forgot about it, it turned out really nice.

Hum? That'd be rather unusual.

Are you sure you didn't change anything for an equivalent ? As I've only had it finish dry with wine yeast.

Plus that starting gravity looks a little on the low side.......

Fatbloke's got something there, my starting gravities for a JAO are usually over 1.125 and they finish around 1.025 so bread yeast can usually only manage around a .100 drop, maybe a little more if it really really likes you ;D
