So .. im a newbie here..
Norwegian born and bred, and a mead lover.

I have had a few mead running, but all have ended up bone dry ( Oecsle of 0!!) so o ifgured i would try one that would be totally different...:
Heres what i ended up with...

BlueBerry recipie 10 L

3 kilo blueberries
3 kilo honey
Water.
Yeast

Foodprocess the blueberries, add to a big casserole (10l)
Enter Honey, heat to a boil, cool down immediately after.
Transfer to 10Liter carboy,
Fill up to 10 Liter, with ice cold, clean water.

In norway, we generally dont boil our honey - it takes away so much caracter...

Now its 6 weeks later.. ive simply let it work on its own.
Surprisingly, the honey /Blueberry didnt set off a whirlwind of activity.. its been steadily bubbling with about 4-6 bubbles per minute.

Now its slowing down, maybe 1-2 pops per minute.. the plan is to let it yeast our completely, simply let it run its course.
I measured it a few days ago.. its some 80 OEchsle, and so dark only an LED light could get any ligth through it. IT tastes AMAZING !!!!

Cool! Welcome to GotMead!

Blueberries are sometimes difficult to ferment, so you are apparently doing things right.

Congratulations on your first batch! And remember, google translate is your friend.....

Sent from Arthur Dent's towel smothering a volume of Vogon poetry, some of which just leaked out.
