I ordered a Wyeast 4184 sweet mead yeast and didn't realize it was liquid. I was hoping to make a couple of 1 gal batches over the next couple of weeks. My question is can I open it and refrigerate it to use later or do I have to use it all once it's open? Never used liquid Yeats before, any tips or anything I should be aware of?

Thanks!

you have to use the whole thing. You have to pop the inner bag and wait at least 4 hours. I like to take it out of the fridge and let it get to room temp before popping it. Wait at least 4 hours after popping it, but 8 to 12 is better.

+1 to Mannye's comment. Also, be sure to use lots of nutrients with that particular yeast. It needs a lot of nutrition to prevent stalling.
