Hi, I made my first JAO yesterday, followed recipe exactly, my sg was 1.114. I have looked around but cannot find what other people are getting. This just seems a bit high to me.i know it is supposed to finish sweet but I feel this will bed up very sweet, hope the nice fresh bread yeasties are up to the challenge.
So how far will bread yeast take this must?
I put this here as I feel it's more of a troubleshooting question, move if you feel appropriate.

It could end up a bit sweet, but it's not too far off. Pitch away!

SG of 1.114 is a bit low actually, but not too low.
Bread yeast will, on average eat 100 points
so you'll get 1.014 FG

or, if you meant 1.140, which is more common for JAO, it will be a fair bit sweeter at 1.040.
The range at which I personally feel JAO is drinkable is 1.010-1.050, and my ideal personal preference is 1.020

You'll be fine. Relax, sit down, don't worry and have a home brew.
