i started a large batch in a carboy yesterday with a blow off valve, with in an hour bubbles where rising and foaming inside the carboy, woke up this morning with nothing happing no co2 coming out, but the contents of the carboy was working as lot and lots of bubbles where rising and lots of foam on top, so i took off the blow off tube and fittied an sanitazesd airlock, again lots of action in the carboy but not co2 bubbling out, i left it again for around 10 mins, then removed the airlock and seal/bung and replaced the airlock in a standard sanitized rubber bung..... the airlock started bubbling straight way at a very very fast rate. so my question is ..... is the batch ok, as it seems the first bung / blow off valve was leaking air and not sealed, it had been like that for around 15 to 16 hrs. the bung i used fitted over rather than inside the neck of the carboy so nothing other than air could get in.. just would like to get your thoughts and experance
