Hi world of meadmaking- I started several 1-gallon batches and in one of them I added some White labs "Belgian Sour" blend of brett and sour bacteria. But now I'm worried this will get into and infect the other batches I have going as well. Is dumping the spoons thermometers sg meter etc in a big bucket of star-san solution sufficient to sterilize the equipment between stirring the sour batch and then the others? Is there any special sanitation for brett or sour bacteria?!

(Thanks!)

The bacteria are easily killed with sanitizers, but Brett is a little more tenacious. It can form biofilms in scratches in plastic that can be difficult to eradicate.

Sanitizing metal or glass objects in your sanitizer for a few minutes should be sufficient to kill the Brett provided you've scrubbed and residue off them. I would have a second set of "Brett only" plastic equipment; racking cranes, buckets, tubing, etc.
