The English language has embraced mead and given it unique names for each style.

Are there any other languages that have literal translations for braggot, sack, melomel, pyment, cyser, metheglin or hippocras?

Or maybe the etymology of these words is non english to start with...anyone?

Most if not all of the afore mentioned names are not of English language origin. Hippocras would be Greek , and I suspect the others to be Welsh.
