I think I got some bad info. I added six pounds of peaches to 3.5 gallons of a traditional mead. I was told to add 1.5 teaspoons of pectinase. After doing some reading I think I overdosed it by about 50 percent. Did I overdose it? What are potential side effects?

I think your fine. Lots of people add more later when things don't clear..

That it completely vaporizes your peaches. This might lure you into racking it off sooner than you'd ordinarily have done and thus have had less exposure time. Prepare to do some juice pressing when you do rack. Otherwise, all should be good.

I use 3 teaspoons of pectinase when making a 6 gallon batch of muscadine wine. I think you are OK on your dosage.
