I'm going to start some of this cyser tonight as directed in Ken's book. I know in some of the recipes he waits to add the fruits until secondary but the way I am reading this recipe is he adds them right away. Is this correct?

That was my understanding. I made "Mutiny On The Bounty," Oskaar's variation on that recipe, and added that stuff in primary. Came out great!

I often use this recipe as a base mead that I add fruit. It has produced several very good meads from peach to pie cherry

Thanks everyone. I just racked it to secondary and I like what I'm tasting so far. Any recommendations on how long to leave the spices in?

I kept mine in for about a month. Taste the must periodically and remove them when it tastes good to you.

Thanks for the tip. Good to have a ballpark idea of where to start!
