I picked up a pH meter and now I need to make up the 2 calibration solutions. What sort of container do you keep them in?

Don't the solutions come already made up and wouldn't one be at a pH of about 10 so it would be quite alkaline. But in any event you want to store the buffers in a container that will not react with acids or bases. I would think glass if you had to make up the solutions.

What came with the meter is powdered and requires mixing with distilled water. There's a 6.86 pH and a 4.00. I have glass canning jars but they have coated metal lids that I'm afraid would corrode. Just wondering how other folks deal with this.
