Hey guys,
So just made a gallon batch of a cherry melomel. My concern is that it formed a cap for about 2 days then started to settle and is currently swirling around going from bottom to top. Is that normal? This is my first batch.

Recipe:
3 lbs honey
1 gal spring water
~2-2.5 lbs sweet cherry (my measurements were off)
EC-1118

Recipe?
Specific Gravity readings?
Nutrients? which one? When added?
Go-Ferm used?
How many times a day are you stirrgin if at all?
Temp where the must is fermenting?
Aeration with air pump or with Oxygen? if so tell us how you are doing this?
Anything else added other than what was mentioned?
Did you warm/boil the honey or the water?
What type of honey did you use?
Cherries or Cherry Juice? If juice what was the specific gravity of the juice itself?

I only did one before I pitched it was at 1.080(if I did it right)
No nutrients besides the cherries which were one of those purees for wine making.
Temp is sitting at 69F.
Warmed honey, clover

1) always add nutrients. Cherries just means you add less but not none
2) you didn't answer all the questions
3) read the newbie guide before asking us questions so you are more informed
