Thoughts????

I personally do not like my mead carbonated.......

but what are the pros and or cons???

It can add more complexity to the mead.
Also carbonation creates carbonic acid which can change the taste flavor as well.

my best choice for 'pro' would be experience and knowledge.

my worst 'con' is that lack of knowledge and experience could leave me making glass grenades.

You really need to plan a mead from the beginning if you want to carbonate it. If you just take any old mead and carbonate it, it's probably not going to taste that good carbonated.

I carb my meads, but as earlier mentioned, you need to have that in mind when designing your flavor profile in the must.

The con might be that unless you can force carbonate the mead will need to be dry, so as Squatchy suggests, planning is critical. A mead that would be better with some residual sweetness may suffer if carbonated...
