Found an online supplier who just happens to be located only 70 miles from me. I can drive over one Saturday and get most of the supplies and ingredients I need. One stop and $70, then all I'll need is a big pot to mix it all in and the honey.

By the way, you mentioned that you are looking for glass 1 gallon jugs of apple juice? After months of searching, I've discovered you can find these at a local Trader Joe's.
Already found one. It happens to contain the best apple juice I have ever drank. Very delicate and apple-like, with none of the harsh bite associated with apple juice. It is even cloudy with residue at the bottom of the jug. Best way to describe this juice is it tastes just like applesauce. If you enjoy apple juice, try and find "Virginia's Finest" from the Murray Cider Company in Roanoke, VA.
Downside is that my jugs each have a different size mouth, so I need two stoppers. There's an extra 70 cents gone ;D
