"Unleash the awesome power of blueberries."

Dec 3, 2004 : Mixed 40 oz clover honey with cool, filtered water in 1/2 gallon carboy, sealed, and shook until dissolved. Poured into 1 gallon carboy and added filtered water. Pitched rehydrated Red Star Pasteur Champagne yeast.

Next week, I'll add the blueberries.

Dec.19: SG=1.070. Juiced 3 lbs of blueberries - got 2 1/2 cups of juice. Added 20 chopped rasins and 1 tsp citric acid. I had trouble with my siphoning cain, and ended up pouring the must from the primary to secondary. Consequently, some of the lees got transferred to the secondary.

Charlie,
Your fermentation doesn't sound normal. Did you forget to add nutrients or is temperature off? In 2 weeks your gravity should have been much lower than 1.070 . You didn't mention starting gravity but I estimate it at 1.100 with 2 1/2 lbs (40oz) honey.
