This bat is considered one of the twelve most endangered animals on Earth, and may actually be extinct by now.

The bumblebee bat, at 2.0 grams? But could you really call that living?

The bumble bee bat, first found in 1973. From the tip of its nose to the end of its body its 1.14" to 1.3" long with a wing span of 6.3".

Unlike other bats, bumble bee bats don't have tails and are the only flying mamal know to be able to hover in flight.

The pygmy shrew @ 3.94" is the smallest mammal native to the UK.
