Maybe this has happened to someone, and maybe it has not.

I bottled my beer today and was in the process of cleaning my secondary carboy. I put some soap in it and was filling it with water with my sink sprayer. Well quite often my sprayer get stuck in the lip of the carboy and it's pretty hard to get out. I try and keep it back a little bit instead of letting it rest so this doesn't happen.

In any case I was almost done filling the carboy and there was a bunch of bubbly suds in the top quarter of the carboy. Well at the same time the sprayer became wedged in the neck. I kept spraying as I was trying to work it back out. By the time I was able to get it worked out, enough pressure had built up in the carboy that my entire kitcken, ceiling, and me were all completely covered with suds.......................

It got EVERYWHERE and after my cursing from the nice surprise it was pretty damn funny. I just thought I'd share my story here and see if it has ever happened to anyone else.

Fray,

This has never happened to me, but even if it had, I wouldn't admit it -- so you'll never really know, will you? ;)

Now, now, guys, keep it clean...

Fray, at least it was only soap. You wouldn't believe the mess I made squeezing 80 kg. of grapes two weeks ago. ;D

Yep, at least it was soap. ;D

We had a pressure canner blow it's lid. We were using it to pressure cook a large roast at the time.

I recently found a bit of tomato/carrot schrapnal on top of a ceiling fan blade - almost a year later!

Mine was an airlock and hops gunk, lol.

I still have hops stains on the stucco ceiling in the work area.

I could help you with that... but you need the proper gear. An old white T-shirt, a scrub sponge, a bucket of water, a tall ladder, and a short skirt. Climb the ladder, wet the sponge, pour the rest over your T-shirt, Scrub for as long at it takes while I hold the ladder. If that doesn't work... resoak the T-Shirt and try again. :P

You think the ladder is for your benefit? LOL! You're assuming I'm going to be at your feet, aren't you? Look out everyone... She's got Legs!!! :o The ladder, shirt, and skirt are for effect only, but if your willing to work with nothing but a sponge... 8) ;) :P
