In this day and age... mead is more for deserts.... or just getting drunk and mixing with no other alcohol.. but maybe a litte weed...

Hey OD,

Don't know where you got the idea that mead is more for dessets, but you couldn't be more mistaken. Do some reading and you'll find out just how well mead matches up to a very diverse range of cuisine. All mead is not sweet, so be aware that as there is diversity in wine, so there is in mead as well.

Almost all alcohol can either be enjoyed with dinner, friends, or by itself. Almost all alcohol can also be chugged and splashed at party just to get drunk.
Mead is generally as strong as wines, so there probably isn't any need to mix it with another alcohol, unless you just wanted it to taste stronger.

As for the weed, I would have to vote against it in any context.

Hey OD,
As Oskaar noted, mead will cover the spectrum from bone dry to sweet, from low alcohol to high alcohol. That is the beauty of brewing, you can make a short mead that is low in alcohol and drinkable in a few weeks or one that with proper care will reach 20% and need some time but be wonderful.
As for mixing it....why ruin a good thing?

Well, I think mixing is fine if it is a commercial mead you don't care for. But homemade, drink as it is.
