A few months back I was in the market looking at sparkling wine, I was planning a sparkling mead, why buy empty bottles when you can empty them. This one bottle really jumped out at me, black glass and kind of bell shaped, so I buy a bottle.

Casalnova Prosecco. Prosecco is the name of the grape that is used to make this sparkling wine.

Italian dry sparkling wine, prosecco. Spanish is Cava, etc. Everyone has to call theirs something different since the French have a lock on the word Champagne. It's funny to look at bottles of brandy and congnac and see "champagne" on the bottle. Region snobbery abounds.
