hey everyone,
I'm an avid homebrewer and mead maker, who just discovered a gluten intolerance. Thank god for mead, however, i still have a taste for grain beers.
My little sister just got back from a 6 month trip to India, where she tried many wonderful local cuisines and beverages.
She also learned how to make many of them. I've listened to her explanation and researched online how the locals make the starter culture for Tongba (the starter culture is sometimes called murcha, but has many names). I was hoping to find an online source for these starter cultures to guarantee I have all the necessary molds, bacteria, and yeast for successful amylolytic fermentation.
Anyone know a site I can buy starter cultures/mother cultures from???
Salud,
Dan
