Where to purchase Mead in Florida

Hello all,

I am new to these forums so please accept my apologies if i have posted this in the wrong section (and please let me know where i should have posted it).


As the topic states i am looking for places in Florida (near Orlando) to purchase Mead. I'm going on Vacation next week and I'm interested in trying some new brews. I'm not from the US so i'm not familiar with your stores, laws, traditions. (In ontario we have only chain that is allowed to sell liquor so it's relatively easy to find and it's also online so i know which locations have Mead before i go. Depending on the demographic of the area some will have lots and some will have none).

Any help would be appreciated.

I hope you'll have a great visit to the Sunshine state. Unfortunately, I don't know where mead can be found in Orlando. Down here in South Florida, Total Wines & More often have several meads in stock, but the store in Orlando doesn't seem to have anything listed but Chaucer's.

This site has a list of wine stores in the area and you may be able to call them and find out which ones carry mead. I hope you are able to find some.

Between P'Cola and Gainesville, Chaucer's in ABC Liquors is about all you'll find. Not sure what's in the groves between me and Medsen

Thanks for the responses. They are appreciated. I did contact Total Wines as well and ya they have no Mead I will try the ABC suggestion. Thanks

There is a place on East Colonial called Redlight Redlight. They have at any given time 10 different kinds of Mead. Going from 20 - 100 a bottle. It's also a great place to have a pint or 2. If you can't find it on GPS then look up a club called Roxy and it's right across the street.
