what is it called if you use corn syrup?
or molasses?

I think corn & molasses is generally used for something that will be later distilled (vodka, rum). Not that you can't drink it after a normal fermentation. Pulque is made from agave nectar, so it's like tequilla before distillation. Brown sugar is just sugar plus molasses (or rather it hasn't been completely separated), from what I understand.

I'm guessing fermented corn syrup would be rather tasteless (other than the alcohol taste). Try it and let us know how it goes. Plus side: you can probably call it whatever you want. ;)

Oh! I just thought of what you call it when you ferment corn syrup (or maybe rice syrup is more accurate): Bud Lite! :eek:

I'm sure you can do better than that. ;D
