    In the recipe it says "Then you can put a hose in with a small cloth filter on the end into the clear part and siphon off the golden nectar." What exactly does this mean and how do I do it?

    No problem.

    If you have a racking cane then this is not a required step to siphon off your JAO. The small cloth filter is to keep the sediment from siphoning into the tube when you rack your mead off of the fallen lees and fruit.
