Thread: Nordic Mead??

  1. Default Nordic Mead??

Im looking for something really close to for lack of a better term vikings drank. I know this sounds cliche but is there any commercial meads i could buy online that are almost replicas of nordic mead?

Don't know. You'd likely have to look for types produced in Norway and Denmark.

I recall a member who posts occasionally from Denmark who has some knowledge of historic ingredients, though how historic I can't say as the vikings weren't big on written records, though there has been some recent forensic archaeology done on vessels from that time so there is some credible info.......

There was a post recently on "grog" - search for it.
It was about a commercial brew similar to Gotlandsdryka or something.
