What are we doing? At least one virtual toast eh? Maybe we all post pictures of the May the 4th and Towel Day festivities?

Technically both Whovians and hitchhikers should be celebrating. Adams wrote many episodes of Who as well.

Well 5/25 has always been a marathon of the 3 films (my old VHS copies faded 2 years ago which pissed me off though, so I'm stuck with edited crap!). Never did the "May the fourth", though 2 marathons in one month is no cause for complaining.
I may need to translate some Vogon poetry into Ancient Greek (for the practice) this year. I do proudly sport the towel though!
Mannye, anything special planned?

Video chat and a goblet of mead and what time, mannye? I am 6 hours ahead of your eastern time. Skype? Google hangouts? Something else?

3pm is good for me...that may not be too bad for the Aussie time zone...5AM if my math isn't off...lol So Kuddy will have to either wake up early or BURN THROUGH! I've never done Google Hangouts, but don't all you expats use Skype? I can set up an account tomorrow.

It's chillier here by about 15 degrees tonight, since all the rain has finally moved out for awhile, but it's probably nothing near as cold there. ARRGGGHHH!!! I'm tired of the rain!!!!! We've gotten 27 inches already this year. That's close to the totals for some years. Everything is soggy-wet; lots of people with septic drainage problems (us included). It's either drought, drought, drought, or epic rainfall levels. Need a happy medium.

I like Douglas Adams.. I didn't know about Towel Day. Thanks for the heads-up. It's sad that he's gone. I have been a fan of his since my early PC days playing Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy in text-only version on C64. It's cool that there's several free online versions now. And here, you can type in the game's serial code in the box at the bottom left of the screen: 851108 and play the original in Java.

I played that! Eat the peanuts or you die right away! Lol. That was the second game I played after Zork. I'm actually playing Zork again on an emulator.

Phhht. You people and your "cold". Blankets fix cold. Try stifling heat and humidity. Nothing but gobs of electricity and insulation fix "jungle". I'll take cold any day of the week! :)

Nice. Great weather and blonde hotties everywhere. What's not to like?

It looks like Google supports up to 10 users on a video chat in Hangouts. Does everyone have that? Or get it by setting up a gmail account?
http://www.google.com/+/learnmore/hangouts/

Looks like Skype does 10 also... Is that easier/better for folks?
http://community.skype.com/t5/Windo...-be-on-a-video-conference-session/td-p/823686

I can do either and use either. I WILL say that my iMac using son has problems with google hangouts, so we use Skype. My other son, with Windows laptop, uses google Hangouts without significant problems. However, I have never tried doing this with more than one at a time.
