    Default pop pop still fermenting I think

    After racking 3 times at 1 month intervals and almost positive gravity was holding at .995. Cold crashed in unheated garage.(bottled jan and feb 2014)
    I'm blowing corks out. I definatly remember putting a 1/2 tsp of xxxx sulphate (jar gone now) in 6 gallons
    The cysyer is blowing corks.
    The blueberry, the cherry, the peach are all carbonated also.

    Pulling the corks and recorking will probably not give me a lot of extra time will it.
    If I throw out my food and fill 2 fridges I could only handle 1 bottle a day, and that wouldn't be fast enough
    Glad I was storing most of it in plastic totes
    Of course the are still 8 more cases in cardboard cases

    Cold crash, rack off the lees, then sorbate and sulfite, then wait and see for some amount of time, checking the hydrometer for consistently stable readings. That's the ticket to not bottling your mead too soon. It sounds like you didn't use sorbate, and it's not clear when you used sulfites... before or after the cold crash? For best results, after is definitely the way to go.

    What sort of help do you need? If I were in Michigan I might offer to help drink it... What you need to do at this point is get all that mead out of all those glass bottles ASAP. Carefully though; the bottles themselves could be dangerous to handle, and you also need to limit oxygen exposure as much as possible.

    Back to the carboy, drink faster or champagne bottles. HMMMM
    I may go into champagne bottles. I like it like this
