You Can Help Get Superstition Mead Placed into a Feature Film!
Legacy Entertainment contacted us today because of their interest in placing a Superstition Mead in an upcoming feature film, The Last Witch Hunter, starring Vin Diesel, Michael Caine, and Elijah Wood. Of course product placement isn't free, so we are asking you, our family, friends, and mead and craft beverage fans, to support our efforts in this really cool project.
The producers of this film originally envisioned Michael Caine to take a swig of Whiskey during a scene, but later decided that it would be more authentic for his 1000 year old character to be drinking a modern-day mead instead.
Beyond just getting Superstition Mead into Hollywood, this is an exciting opportunity for mead to be exposed to millions of people world wide. Every time mead is mentioned on the big screen, such as with Russel Crowe in Robin Hood, or in Spartacus and Game of Thrones, it promotes the growth of the mead industry. The difference with this movie is that it takes place in present day New York City rather than in an ancient period and aligns perfectly with our mission statement of "Reintroducing the world's oldest fermented beverage to mankind."
Pre-production is coming to an end and filming will begin in the coming weeks. Product placement is one of the final decisions that the producers will make before filming begins. We've been given the deadline to reach our fundraising goal of $5000 by Sunday, September 7, 2014, in order to have our mead appear in the film.
Here are your options to make this happen:
