I searched and only found a few threads about Mahleb and it wasn't the powdered kind so no help there. I would like to add to mouthfeel but am unsure how much I should use and how long does it take to feel the difference?

Thanks

It dosen't really add much mouthfeel. It adds more like a woody note that helps add more depth to cherry melomels. I usually buy whole mahlab, smash it in a morter/pestal and leave in the primary the whole time. About 1 tsp for 5 gallons, if using a lot of cherries (18 to 20 lbs) or less if using less cherries...
