    Default Met Fellow Meader

Doug Fenske, aka. GntlKnight was in town for a visit. Starving for barbeque since moving to the Netherlands, we had a terrific lunch at a barbeque place right next door to his motel. He may be sleeping on their front porch by the time he leaves for home next week. So if you live in LA, swing by Barrel and Ashes in Studio City, that guy you see curled up on their doorstep? Thats Doug! Met his son Doug Jr, and his girlfriend Desere, plans to hook up again before he leaves. Doug is the one holding the bottle.

Thanks. Was good to have our mini Mazer Cup mixer here. Had dinner over by Universal tonight. Good times. And I love the smell of smoked brisket in the morning.

alas my final meeting with JD today, and my final brisket sandwich. Leaving gorgeous weather, but had a great time with my son, but now back to temps in mid 40s in Netherlands.

It was fun Doug, glad to have met Doug Jr and Desere also. Have a safe trip home, and I wish I could tell you that you can walk a dog up and down the aisle for exercise on the 11 hour flight home, I suppose you could throw a collar around someone's kid and pretend...LOL...

I'll let you know about those zip corks.

But itīs also good to have you back in the old, charming and cosy Europe !

Time for Doug to get back for the good old Dutch gezelligheid, Safe trip Doug!

The Portuguese "saudades" and the Dutch "gezelligheid", means the same I think, like: Nostalgic, homey, welcoming, friendly, warmth, for friends and family alike.

Yes, and I understand Oskaar lives in Anaheim, not far from me, about 50 miles. I need to plan an invasion, and trod down to peer over his walls and see what he's up to!
