Hey, the first guy who mad the BOMM did not use a Hydrometer....

Steve's not only an accomplished mead maker and beer brewer, but was following the BOMM recipe, which gives you a dry mead. So there was no real reason to use a hydrometer. And, to verify the final gravity, he shows you a way to figure it out at the end of the video.
