I feel i did something wrong or maybe its the honey that settled but its been a month or so and now at the bottom theres a milky white wispy stuff st the bottomshould i mike it upor rack it away from it
Could be a good idea. We'd need a lot more info to even start to help. Can you detail out your ingredients and process so far? Need to be as specific as you can so the guys who know (aka Mead Whisperers) can intuit what might be going on in yours!
Ok so ingredients used were
2lb wildflower ho ey
Brown sugar sauce with1lb brown sugar 1tsb cinnimon and vanilla bean
Used fresh pressed cloudy apple juice yo make 1 gal and used k1v yeast using fermaid o using the tosna protocal
Method was pretty standardstir the yeast during active then let it sit and clear in 2nd once cleae i added 1\2 lb of medowfoam honey
If you didn't stabilize the mead before you added the meadowfoam honey, chances are that you have some surviving yeast cells which are now reproducing and eating the extra sugars you've added.
