Default Surprising side effect of Sodium Meta-bi.

I misjudged the volume of my primary and found that I needed a gallon jug for a secondary. The only "clean" glass gallon jug I could find in the house was a jug my wife uses for sun brewed iced tea. Even with my carboy brush I could not get the tea stains off the glass.

I really had to do something pretty quick, so I decided to rinse out the jug with some Sodium Meta-Bi and give it a try.

Much to my surprise, the Meta-Bi completely stripped the tea stain from the jug!

Two weeks later, the 1 gallon seems to be on pace with the 3 gallon carboy.

Looks like the yeasties are as happy as I am.

Hmmm! Wonder how that would work with coffee stains... I shall have to give it a shot...

Wonder how that would work on wine stained carboys?
    Is it tasty . . . precious?
