My batch of blueberry mead is kinda flabby. I believe a touch of tannin would spark
it up some. Is it ok to add tannin while in the secondary?
thanks!

Yes.

I'm thinking start small and either a 1/4 -1/2 tsp per gallon. I just put the tannin (powder is whats easily available here) in jar (with lid) with a little of the mead and shake the hell out of it. As it can be a bit of a bugger just to mix it by stirring, then pour it in and stir the whole batch gently.

Last time I added tannin, it didn't all dissolve but caused the batch of already cleared mead to drop a large fluffy sediment, that I had to leave to compact for a month.....
