Dear all,

I have a sweet mead of 3 liters. after one month i racked it, after two months fementation stopped and i added Active Siha Bentonite G. i added bentonite directly to the mead like 10 grams as per manufacturers recommendations.

Also manufacturer says batch will be ready to filter after 2 hours. I see nothing and i am not going to filter it, i will wait until it gets clear on its own. Anyway i was suspicious because of not seeing any effects after two hours so i put it in 4 degrees celcius after two hours adding the active bentonite.

Here are the photographs after one day putting the mead in 4 degrees celcius. There are lots of sediment in the bottom.

What is your suggestions ? Should i rack it again or wait a few weeks to see the result.

Update

Two days after asking the question and racking, it seems quite cleared.

 
Agreed, not quite clear. With a light colored mead like that, you should be able to read newsprint from the opposite side if it is to be considered clear.
 
Yes you are right but the jar was just out of refrigerator and there was some condensation outside the jar, i filtered it with a towel before bottling and it was more clear.

Experiment is done, thanks for the replies.
