Default Adding Honey to a JOA (shorted honey due to poor math skills)

Started a 3 gallon JOA on July 6. Should have used 10.5 pounds of honey.
Looking over notes and discovered I had shorted the honey by 1 pound.
I want it sweet but meant to follow recipe exactly. Since this is my first mead.

Is it too late to add the honey?
And if it is not too late how to go about it?

Airlock activity is about 1 bubble every 2 seconds.

I'd try to dissolve it in some water and add it to the batch. Pour in carefully to minimize aeration. Missing the target by a pound is not the end of the world. It will probably still come out great but not quite as sweet as it should.

Relax.Don't worry.

All the Best,
Doug White
